Our Mission Statement

In the words of our Founder, Rev. Rita Marie Browning, "Metaphysics means I can open any door that feels right for me. I can embrace all religions, all aspects of nature, all aspects of spirit and all aspects of life.  I can teach people that spirit does exist. That we never die. That just our body leaves us, not our soul.  That we are a continuation of God, the Universe, the Creator."

The Metaphysical Ministry of Canada strives to create not only an inspiring and supportive environment for our Ministers, but to build a nurturing spiritual community in which we can all share our gifts and grow in understanding of each other.

We offer weekly gatherings every Wednesday year round via Zoom and continuing education based on the philosophy of Metaphysics.

Our Philosophy

We believe that there is one power in the Universe, everywhere present, manifesting as life through all forms of organized matter, called God by some, by others, Spirit.

We believe this universal power is present in all humans and indeed, in all things. We express our belief that all parts of the universe and all forms of life are manifestations of spirit or infinite intelligence, and thus, we are all children of God.

We believe in the eternal existence of the human soul and once our physical body finishes its journey, our essence, our soul, continues into perpetuity.

We believe that there is an afterlife existence and that there are many levels or realms of that existence.

We believe that all life is sacred and interconnected, and that each is an integral part of the whole.

We believe that all individuals are responsible for the welfare of the world and of the community in which they live, therefore we strive to create unity and inclusivity by practicing love, compassion, and acceptance for ourselves and for others.

We believe that we  have been given free will and therefore we create our own reality through positive or negative thinking.

We believe that individuals are responsible for their own spiritual growth.

We believe that spiritual growth and advancement can be attained
by aspiration and personal striving and that we are loved by the universal power with an unconditional love to live a natural life where the opportunities for growth and progress to better, higher and more spiritual conditions are open to all.

We believe that all religions have a purpose and were created by the God of their own understanding in accordance with the beliefs and moral values of peoples of all cultures, races, and origins.

Therefore, we encourage all individuals to recognize, accept, and to grow in understanding of varying religious traditions and philosophies as long as the faith movement does not advocate harm to others. Our understanding can only be gained by our personal perception of the creative force.

We believe that the divine love of the infinite spirit is unconditional and always present and is intrinsic in all life. When we open our arms and except that love, not only are we are truly loved, we are then able to recognize that love in others.

We believe that we are only primarily responsible for our own actions and must accept and understand that some people choose to express their free will by being angry or hurtful to others, for which we can send them forgiveness.

However, loving the universal power in everyone else does not mean that we approve of what they do. We encourage people not to hold on to the pain of others' actions which may be negative and destructive, but to let go and let God.

We believe that by releasing all negativity and by finding forgiveness both for ourselves and others that we are set free. Once released, we create space for the joy that will fill our souls and send out rays of light to all around us, promoting a vibration of peace.

We believe that it is our mission to find divine purpose and spiritual fulfilment and by so doing enrich our own lives and the lives of others and create heaven on earth.

And so it is.

Addendum

We at the Metaphysical Ministry acknowledge and honour the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals. We respect that our membership reflects a variety of perspectives and a wide range of lived experiences and believe that the affirmation of this diversity is of both intrinsic and instrumental value.

Moreover, we believe that making visible diverse contributions leads to richer debates and knowledge and we pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages, and experiences and is committed to the inclusion and recognition of all members regardless of race, age, culture, ability, ethnicity or nationality, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, marital status, religious affiliation, and socioeconomic status.

To this end, we seek to foster inclusivity and diversity within our membership and throughout our Ministry.
